Megan Prydun

Megan Prydun graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She has worked in Swaziland, Africa as a social worker in a rural community with New Hope Centre Children’s Home, and has also participated in community development initiatives in Malawi and Kenya. Megan’s commitment to social justice initiatives in Africa continues through advocacy, fundraising, public speaking, and continued education. She is currently completing her final year in the Master’s in Development Practice (MDP) program at the University of Winnipeg and hopes to pursue a career in human and social development. Megan currently works at Resource Assistance for Youth (RaY), a non-profit street-level agency working with street-entrenched and homeless youth in Winnipeg. She also serves on the CCUNESCO Youth Advisory Group as Manitoba’s Provincial Coordinator.

With deep gratitude, she thanks the University of Winnipeg, the University of Winnipeg Foundation, and particularly the Canadian National Railway Company, for the generously donated support they have provided her for her studies.
