Museums and Archives (Calls 67-70)

海角社区 acknowledges that we are gathered on ancestral lands, on Treaty One Territory. Our water is sourced from Shoal Lake 40 First Nation. These lands are the heartland of the Métis people.

We are committed to implementing the recommendations of the 


Projects and initiatives 

Some of the programs and initiatives that members of 海角社区 community have undertaken related to Calls to Action 67-70: Museums and Archives are:

BIPOC Collections at the Archives. This  features links to Indigenous collections and related digital resources, including the TRC web archive UWinnipeg created in collaboration with the NCTR, LAC, and UM. (

Indigenous afternoons in the archives. Dr. Mary Jane McCallum and Dr. Erin Millions have hosted a series of free archival research drop-in sessions to encourage researchers, students, and community members to spend time accessing and interpreting historical records at the Archives of Manitoba. Their work was recognized with a . (

Two-spirit archivesThe supports scholarship and research while preserving the history and the contributions of Two-Spirit peoples. (

United Church of Canada Archives. This  retains many Residential School records, copies of which have been provided to NCTR, as well as records of the Indigenous Ministries. (
