About:

Margaret Haworth-Brockman is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Sociology at 海角社区. For 13 years she was the Executive Director at Prairie Women's Health Centre of Excellence, where she led a comprehensive program of new research, policy advice and knowledge translation. Much of the focus of the work at PWHCE concerned Aboriginal women's health, and other areas included health issues for new immigrants, women who live in poverty, women who live in rural and remote areas, and gender in health planning.

Haworth-Brockman's international work on gender-based analysis, includes work in gender and HIV, as well as developing guidelines and materials, and a review of indicators related to the Sustainable Development Goals for the Pan American Health Organization. When PWHCE closed in 2013, she became the Senior Program Manager at the National Collaborating Centre for Infectious Diseases, where her interest in what we measure in health, and how, persists.
